Head coach Bob Rients adds former University of North Dakota all-conference baseball player Taylor Peterson to the University of Minnesota Duluth baseball coaching staff for the 2015 season.

Peterson spent the last four seasons playing at the collegiate level. He played his first two seasons under coach Rick Pederson at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa, before transferring to UND where he finished out his career for coach Jeff Dodson. Peterson, a catcher, started the past two seasons behind the plate for North Dakota, and earned First Team All-Great West Conference honors during his junior season.

Peterson, a native of Atlantic, Iowa in the southwest corner of the state, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Dakota in 2014.
