The University of Minnesota Duluth 2017-18 women's hockey senior class hasn't hung up its skates. In fact, six of its seven members with exhausted college eligibility are set to join the pro ranks.
Goaltender
Jessica Convery and defenseman
Catherine Daoust landed in the Canadian Women's Hockey League Sunday -- Convery was drafted 19th by the Worcester Blades in the fourth round, while Daoust was drafted 28th overall by Les Canadiennes de Montreal. They join defenseman
Jessica Healey of the HV71 (Swedish Women's Hockey League), forwards Katerina Mrázova and
Michelle Lowenhielm of the Connecticut Whale (National Women's Hockey League) and defenseman
Linnea Hedin, who signed with AIK, also of the Swedish Hockey League.
"I am excited to be a part of the Worcester Blades, and I am grateful for all the opportunities that UMD women's hockey has given," said Convery after becoming the fourth goaltender taken in the draft.
In all, UMD currently has 22 alums playing professional women's hockey in arguably the three best leagues in the world. Besides the most recent draftees and signees, here are the current Bulldogs on professional rosters:

UMD will drop the puck on the 2018-19 season on Sept. 22 when it hosts the NWHL's newest member, the Minnesota Whitecaps. The game is set for a 4:00 p.m. start at AMSOIL Arena.
