Natalie Cahill and
Isabel Thiner, who both enjoyed rewarding sophomore seasons in 2019, have attained 2019 All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference third team honors for singles.
Cahill, a native of Pine City, Minn., paced the 2019 Bulldogs in singles victories by going 12-2 (primarily at No. 3) --Â including an 8-2 mark in NSIC play -- and opened the year by winning her first eight matches. Thiner, a native of Grand Forks, N.D. posted a team-leading .909 winning percentage (off a 10-1 record) and went 7-1 against NSIC competion.
Cahill and Thiner are the third and fourth Bulldogs to receive All-NSIC first- , second- or third-team acclaim in the past two seasons. Then-senior

UMD closed out the 2019 season with a 11-5 overall record (for their most wins since 2007) and tied for third place in the final NSIC standings at 8-3 (their highest conference finish in 12 years).
