Today, the Colorado Avalanche announced the signing of goaltender and Bulldog alum Hunter Miska to a two-year contract extension through the 2021-22 season.
Miska, 25, appeared in 26 games for the Colorado Avalanche's American Hockey League Affiliate the Colorado Eagles. Miska posted a 16-6-3 stat line with a 2.48 goals against average, .924 save percentage, and accumulated two shutouts in those appearances. Miska was recalled by the Avalanche during their Stanley Cup Playoffs appearance and served as the backup for the Avalanche during the final three games of the 2020 second round series in the Edmonton bubble.
Prior to starting his professional career, Miska spent one year with the Bulldogs appearing in 39 games, posting an impressive 27-5-5 record with a 2.20 goals against average and a .920 save percentage. Miska also amassed 5 shutouts that season en route to leading UMD to a 2016-17 Frozen Four and National Championship game appearance.
