After the first win of the season, Head Coach Jessica Worden was very excited and shared her thoughts on the win. "The first win of the sesaon is always something special. It lifts the team's spirit like nothing else can. The best part of today's match was watching the women come out strong in doubles. They were loud and aggressive!" Allison Jondahl won her first conference singles match and Coach Worden was ecstatic about her performance. "Allison played her heart out today at six singles for the Bulldogs! The first set didn't quite go her way but she was able to dig in and battle back while completely changing her game style to pull out a third set win! To win 6-0 in the third set in your first collegiate sinlges match is pretty amazing."

Jondahl provided us with a few words as well. "We all came out and played our hardest! I loved going out and playing my first conference match. Go Dogs!"

Abby Johnson has had a commanding performance on the court through the teams two matches and Coach Worden was proud of her on-court presence. "Abby has completely become a key player for our team this year. She has moved up into a solid lineup position. This weekend she has gone undefeated both at three singles and two doubles leaving her the lone Bulldog who has remained victorous so far! I'm so proud of how far she has come as a sophomore and cannot wait to see what the future holds for her. We are so grateful to have her on our team."

Johnson was excited about the teams win and their performance as a whole. "I thought the team came out strong today as we took our first win of the season. I am so incredibly proud of the team and how much we've all improved in just two matches. I can't wait to see whats to come. Go Dogs!"

The Bulldogs play one more match in Grand Forks tomorrow against Bemidji State and then come home to take on Augustana on Friday and Sioux Falls on Saturday.
