Duluth, Minn. -- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2022 All-Conference baseball teams for this afternoon. Four Bulldogs,
Alex Wattermann,
Trevor Gustafson,
Brodie Paulson and
Tim Pokornowski all received Second Team All-Conference recognition.
Alex Wattermann was named as the Second Team All-Conference selection for relief pitcher. Wattermann tallied 12.2 innings during the season and allowed just 4 earned runs. He also talled 14 strikeouts to just 2 walks. He tallied 8 saves (2nd-most in NSIC) on the season while having a 2.84 ERA on the season.
Trevor Gustafson was named as the Second Team All-Conference Selection for catcher. Gustafson hit .342 on the season and appeared in 40 games for the Bulldogs. He tallied 12 doubles, 3 triples (tied for 7th in the NSIC) and 2 home runs while bringing in 32 runs. He had a .507 slugging percentage and a .420 on-base percentage for a .927 OPS. He also had a .968 fielding percentage.
Brodie Paulson was named as the Second Team All-Conference selection for first base. Paulson batted .307 on the season and started 44 games for the Bulldogs. He tallied 18 doubles (tied for 2nd in the NSIC), 1 triple and 9 home runs on the season. He also drove in 48 runs (6th in the NSIC) on the season. Paulson tallied a .614 slugging percentage (9th in the NSIC) on the season and a .990 OPS. Paulson also hit 5 sacrifice flies (tied for 2nd in the NSIC) on the season and tallied a .989 fielding percentage.
Tim Pokornowski was named as the Second Team All-Conference selection for outfield. Pokornowski batted a team high .349 in 40 games for the Bulldogs. He tallied 6 doubles, 3 triples (tied for 7th in the NSIC), and 6 home runs. Pokornowski scored a team high 40 runs. He also drove in 35 runs as he tallied a .550 slugging percentage. Pokornowski also stole 11 bases on the season while compiling a .961 fileding percentage.
