UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community. 


After scoring her first collegiate hat trick Friday night, University of Minnesota Duluth senior midfielder Elaina Shromoff was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference's Offensive Player of the Week, the second weekly award awarded to a Bulldog this season.


Shromoff netted the Bulldogs first hat trick since the 2023 season and the 26th in program history against the University of Sioux Falls Friday in a 5-1 UMD triumph. The Lakeville, Minn. native scored three goals on three shots on goal -- with one of her goals also doubling as the game-winner. For the weekend, Shromoff had four shots on goal in UMD's two-win weekend in 111 minutes of action.


The Bulldogs will hit the road this week battle Wayne State University Friday at 3:00 p.m. in Wayne, Neb. before facing Augustana University Sunday in Sioux Falls, SD at 1:00 p.m.
