In the 7-6 triumph over the Purple Knights, the Bulldog trailed 2-0 heading into the top of the fourth before racking up four runs to take the lead for good. All but one of the nine UMD starters collected at least one hit, including freshman third baseman

In the night cap, sophomore

Hartmann worked the first four innings and surrendered just two hits before being lifted in the top of the fifth for Knutson, who after walking the first two batters, got the the next three Purple Knights (3-7) to ground out to end the game. UMD made the most of its eight hits as senior first baseman
Jordan Rice, freshman third baseman
Alexia Klaas and junior right fielder
Ashley Schilling all homered.
