After a 16-day layoff, the University of Minnesota Duluth returned to courts and toppled the College of St. Benedict 6-3 Saturday afternoon at hte Duluth Indoor Sports Center.
The Bulldogs, who were making their first home appearance since Feb. 3, led 2-1 after the doubles competition with the No. 1 tandem of senior

Megan Anderson and the No. 2 unit of senior
Katie Baasch and sophomore
Elsa Erickson accounting for UMD's two victories. Those four -- Benkofske (No. 1), Anderson (No. 2), Erickson (No. 3) and Baasch (No. 4) -- then proceeded to pick up singles wins with both Erickson and Baasch requiring a tie-breaker to do so.
Both Benkofske and Baasch improved to 6-2 in singles on the year while Benkofske and Anderson have amassed the same record in doubles.
UMD, now 5-3 overall, will pay a visit to Lifetime Fitness in Minnetonka, Minn. next Saturday (March 24) to face Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference rivals Minnesota State University-Mankato and Southwest Minnesota State University.
