Was a four-year started and fixture on three Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship clubs ... owns the distinction of being the only Bulldog to land All-MIAC honors three times (1958, 1959 and 1961) ... scored 1,728 points in 96 career outings (for a school-record 18.0 points per game average) in helping the Bulldogs to an 81-17 four-year record ... paced the MIAC in scoring in 1960-61 ... captained the Bulldogs for two seasons (1959-60 and 1960-61) and was their leading scorer as a freshman, junior, and senior ... was a member of Minnesota-Duluth's first two MAIA National Tournament qualifiers (1958-59) ... still holds the school mark for free throws in a career (432) ... competed one year in football at Minnesota-Duluth (1957) and wound up finishing second in pass receptions with seven and scored one touchdown ... was bestowed with Minnesota-Duluth's Top Scholar-Athlete Award in 1960-61 ... played briefly with the Phillips 66 Oilers Basketball contingent upon graduation from Minnesota-Duluth (B.A. degree in business, 1961).
