Attained NAIA All-American (third team) honors in 1986-87 in addition to being selected the Northern Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year ... Completed his prosperous four-year playing career as the Bulldogs' fifth all-time leading scorer (1,422 points in 119 games), No. 2 rebounder (731) and top shot blocker (130) ... Was a two-time NAIA District 13 Player of the Year Award recipient and All-NIC pick (first team in 1986-87 and second team in 1985-86) ... Helped lead UMD to three NIC championships (1983-84 and 1985-87), four NAIA National Tournament berths and four 20-win seasons ... Paced the Bulldogs in both scoring and rebounding in each of his final two seasons ... Was Chosen UMD’s Outstanding Senior Male Athlete for 1986-87 ... Earned a spot on the Bulldogs’ 75th Anniversary Team in 2006 .. Remained at his alma mater for one season (1987-88) following his playing days to serve as a student assistant men's basketball coach ... Graduated from UMD in 1988 with a B.A. degree in communication ... Is a native of Milwaukee, Wis.
