Is the only Bulldog to ever attain NCAA II All-American wrestling honors on more than one occasion (he was so recognized in both 1994 and 1993 when he placed fourth at the national tournament) ... amassed a whopping 27-1-0 record in 1993-94 (his lone defeat came in the 142-pound title match at the NCAA II Championships) for a school-record .964 winning percentage ... became just the eighth individual overall – and the UMD wrestler -- to capture four Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference championships (134 pounds in 1991 and 142 pounds in 1992-94) ... went 108-17-0 as a collegian with 40 pins and won his final 27 dual meet matches ... qualified for three NCAA II national events and one NAIA Championship (in 1991) ... was chosen the Bulldogs’ Most Valuable Wrestler for an unprecedented third time as a senior and served as a team tri-captain for two seasons ... he and fellow 2008 UMD Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Chris Marinucci were co-winners of the Bulldogs' Outstanding Senior Male Athlete Award in 1993-94 ... is a native of Golden Valley, Minn ... graduated from UMD in 1994.
