Football Offensive Guard (1974-77)

Lettered four times in each football (1973-77) and baseball (1974-78) ... started for three-plus years at offensive guard for the football Bulldogs, cracking the starting lineup in his final 32 collegiate outings ... received All-MIAC football honors as a sophomore and All-NIC recognition the ensuing two seasons ... was named the club's co-Most Valuable Player as well as its Outstanding Lineman as a senior team captain in 1977 ... was a three-year starter at third base for UMD ... capped off collegiate baseball career in 1978 by being picked to the All-NIC team after leading UMD in hits (25 in 27 games) ... co-captained the 1977 and 1978 Bulldog baseball squads became just the fifth individual to be bestowed with both UMD's Outstanding Senior Athlete and Top Scholar-Athlete Awards (1977-78) ... received a Bachelor's degree in physical education from St. Cloud State University in 1987 ... signed on as Blaine High School's head football coach in 1984 ... coached the Bengals to one Minnesota Class AAAAA State championship, nine Twin Cities Suburban Conference titles and seven Section 7 crowns ... is a native of Anoka, Minn.
