Corralled All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognition all three of his seasons as a Bulldog ... paced UMD in scoring and rebounding three straight years and was the first Bulldog to eclipse the 20 points per game barrier for a single season (he averaged an even 20.0 points per outing in 1949-50) ... placed first on the MIAC scoring charts as a senior and second as a junior ... finished his three-year collegiate career with a 17.1 points per game scoring average -- the third best lifetime mark in school history ... was a charter member of the Duluth Denfeld High School Hall of Fame and was also selected to the Minnesota Centennial Sports Hall of Fame ... earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota in 1956.
