Started four years for Bulldog clubs which captured a quartet Northern Intercollegiate Conference titles and produced a 61-9 overall record ... was a three-time All-NIC selection during his collegiate playing days ... won over 80 percent of his basketball games as a head coach at five Minnesota high schools -- Big Fork, Kimball, Harmony, Hastings and Duluth Central -- from 1938-52 ... coached Duluth Central to the 1950 Minnesota State High School Tournament championship ... spent one year as a Bulldog basketball assistant coach (1937-38) ... inducted into the first class of the Two Harbors High School Hall of Fame (1997) ... earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from UMD in 1938.
